Effort to show
that I was here.
Writing these words
that I might exist.
What life came
from the page today?
What future still
do these words convey?
Earning my being
to show I’m real.
Whether that matters
it’s hard to say.
Wishing for life
in all I compose.
Wondering about words
as time fades away.
Each word brings
opportunities for eternal life.
